On  Sept. 26, Christian Club on Campus gathered around the flag pole to pray for schools and students. This is a nationwide event that is organized every year and takes place the fourth Wednesday every September.

According to Every Student Every School, See You at the Pole “brings teenagers to their school flagpoles to intercede for other students, their schools, families and nation, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening.”

The club met at the flagpole at 7 a.m. and began to pray and worship for schools around Sunrise Mountain and other schools around the world.

“We pray for protection, guidance and leadership for the students and for the administration,” senior Dustin Duhly said. “We pray for the general safety for everybody.”

The CCC club has been leading this event for numerous years now and does it differently each year.

“We’ve done it several times where the actual See You At the Pole organization will have a layout and outline that you can follow to get a briefing on how to pray for your school and how important it is,” senior Tiffany Ford said.

The CCC meets every Monday at 6 p.m. They participate in various activities that strengthen their testimonies.

“We normally play some games, worship and have some sort of message,” Duhly said. “It’s student led and sometimes we have some guest speakers that will come in.”

In the future, CCC will have a movie night in October and will participate in Feed My Starving Children in December.
