Working hard pays off for students
Everybody knows that there are constant distractions that are provided in every day teen life, so when the students of SMHS manage to see past those obstacles and achieve either perfect attendance or grades, it is nothing short of impressive.
So to honor those who put forth their best effort throughout the 2011-2012 school year, an award ceremony was held in the auditorium on Tuesday, Sep 25.
One of those outstanding students is sophomore Ryan Sampey; he was awarded for his perfect grades in the 2011-2012 school year.
“I want to do well you know?” Sampey said. ”I am always trying to do better every year.”
However no one is perfect, even with achieving his goal Sampey did admit that he put things off to the last minute every now and then.
“I procrastinated a lot, but I always got my projects and homework in on time,” Sampey said.
Support was essential when achieving his goal, Sampey never shied away from a helping hand. He encourages those who are struggling to do the same.
“Try your best and get help if needed,” Sampey said.
