Taylor Swift recently released her new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and announced that her new album Red will be hitting stores on Oct. 22.

Some of her hits like “Teardrops on My Guitar” and “Love Story” won the hearts of many. But the big, whopping question is if “We Are Never Getting Back Together” will score the hearts and fill iPods like the others.

Freshman Rachel Richardson believes that T-Swifts new single is a definite download.

“It’s a lively up beat song and it sounds different from her old style, I like how Taylor Swift mixes them [country music and pop] together,” Richardson said.

With a new pop sound single, Taylor Swift could receive a larger fan base.

“It’s a good direction to go because more people are going for pop,” junior Ryan Labonte said.

On the other hand senior Michael Caron simply does not like the single at all because it is not his type of music.

“It [the song] sucks, I don’t like it because I am a guy and it runs in my blood,” senior Michael Caron said.

While some people, like sophomore Marissa Herrera, believe that T-Swift should sing less about relationships, others love the songs Swift puts out which is evident by “Never Ever Getting Back Together”. The song has already reached more than six million views on YouTube and is in the number one spot on iTunes.
