Class of 2016 invade SMHS
As the school year begins to pick up speed, the freshmen are getting into the rhythm of the new enviroment. Everyone has a different take on high school when they were freshmen and what they will look forward to this year.
Things have definitely changed since last year. For instance there are about six teachers that no longer work at SMHS. We also have a slew of other differences, like a new principle and the unknown AP schedule. Yet, every year there will always be a guarantee that there will be a flood of open minds and fresh faces. Freshman Justin Tinca shared what he thinks of his high school experience so far.
“[Being a freshman] is much better than going to any elementary school,” said Tinca.
There is much more opportunity and chances during your high school career. The electives and clubs can really help any new students achieve any goals they might have for themselves.
“Well, you get more freedom and the electives you get to take can really empower a student,” said Tinca
