Students and parents gather for Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher night was hosted on Monday, Aug. 14, on campus to inform parents of the year’s classroom activities.
The night began much like the first day of school. Teachers had the opportunity to show parents the tools they hope to incorporate in their classrooms during the school year.
“I [was] able to show my class website and I believe it’s the best way to help their children,” science teacher Cheryl Fiedler said.
Students traveled with their parents through their classroom schedule in 10 minute increments.
“Student council was so great in leading the school,” junior Camille McCormick said.
Mustang students and parents were much appreciative of Meet the Teacher night due to the amount of information they gained.
“I did appreciate the science teacher, Mrs. Gozca,” parent Tammy Stephens said. “I did appreciate how she doesn’t teach by a book. She freaking teaches hands on. I am so excited about her. My student will thrive in a hands-on science class.
Parents also gained insight on the different assignments that will occur throughout the year.
“[The] number one thing [I look forward to] is [the] study guide[s],” parent Jenny Buckler said.
Veteran and novice Mustangs alike look forward to the new year, study guides and all.
“I hope to accomplish getting a 4.0,” freshman Kevin Callaghiu said.
The night concluded at 6:30 p.m. with a more informed school community.
