Boys outperform girls in college exams

It was announced on Aug. 15 that young men around the nation  received higher test scores on college exams than women. Since the grade was introduced in 2010, there has not been an instance when more male students have achieved the A* grade than female students.

It is quite the accomplishment for the men, whom 8% of which achieved the “A* grade. For those who do not know only the brightest of students are given this grade and it guarantees a spot at almost any college. While the women fall short by a very narrow margin of 7.9%, studies show that they are still out on top with all the other grades given. For instance, 27% of women achieved an “A” grade while the men fall much shorter with 25.8%. From then on the gap only gets larger, so the men can celebrate this victory, but still need to work harder to close the overall gap between them and the women.
