Nowlin throws perfect game against rivals
On Tuesday, March 13, the Sunrise Mountain Mustang varsity softball team played against Liberty and won 10-0.
Junior Taylor Nowlin pitched a perfect game. This feat does not happen very often, much less against a rival team.
“It felt good,” Nowlin said. “Especially against Liberty.”
A perfect game is when no batter reaches base. When the last inning comes around, everyone wonders what goes on in the pitcher’s mind.
“I just wanted to get the three outs so we could go hit again and then the game would be over,” Nowlin said. “I just wanted to keep striking them out.”
The girls beat Catcus Shadows at home 13-2 on March 14.
