Mustang basketball stomps Liberty rivals

Wednesday, Feb. 1, was a record-setting day for Sunrise Mountain basketball, as they went head-to-head with their closest rivals, the Liberty Lions.

The lady Mustangs took the court at 5 p.m. and throughout the game were cheered on by the spirited SMHS home side. In the end, the Lions came out on top with a short-lived victory before the boys’ game started at 7 pm.

At the end of the night, Liberty was ultimately crushed by the boys basketball team with a score of 54-43.

Sunrise Mountain is coming to the close of its Hoopcoming week, and this basketball win will surely boost the students’ spirits.
