Mustang basketball takes on rival for second time

Boys varsity basketball will be playing their second game against rival Liberty on Wednesday, Feb 1.

Varsity has a current record of 9 wins and 13 losses. The last time they met, SMHS won the game on Liberty’s court.The team has been preparing for and looking forward to the upcoming home game.

“We always go hard in practice, we don’t take a lot of days off, we’re consistently fighting to keep the season going strong,” senior Ricky Bills said.

Coach Jason Pasinski has been getting his team ready and watching the players grow and develop throughout the season.

“Our younger guys are getting more experience, and our older guys are delivering in crunch time; put those two together and you’ve got a winning formula,” Coach Pasinski said. “We’ve definitely come around as a team and we’re playing together, playing hard, and playing smart.”
